Baby Names

We thought we would put a few of our favorite baby names out there for the vote. Not that we are going to do what the outcome says (in fact we may be convinced to do exactly the opposite). Just thought it would be fun.

Duran Duran's video for Rio doesn't inspire the wholesome, down-to-earth image we'd like for a name -- Tyson.

wait- isn't there one missing? I thought there was another one you guys were thinking. Had a little something to do with Duran Duran?

I do like the Duran Duran connotation of Rio -- however, since Kia began producing cheap, poorly rated vehicles with the same name in 2000 I'm not sure that is where we want to go.

We definitely need to work in a Duran Duran connection with one of our children's names -- What do you think about Duran for a boy? I kind of like it.

Who doesn't want a sweet little daughter that dances in the sand - just like that river twisting through the dusty land?

so, I don't think I ever responded to your last email when you mentioned some of the baby name contenders. Just wanted to let you know that I love your options!! At first, I was thinking Tillie all the way! But then when I thought "Tyson, Kelli, and Tillie" - I don't know Kelli... Tillie... too similar. Tillie is the combo of your two names! Haha! :)

Now I'm on board with Alpha!

(not that you should care at all about my opinion - just thought I'd share for fun!! Any of the names would be awesome in my book!)

I'm always curious to the names people consider and how they came to find the names and settle on them.
I totally thought the same thing about the name Tillie: a combo of Tyson and Kelli.
Naming children is probably the scariest and most fun portions of the waiting game during pregnancy. Enjoy!!

What about a band member connection like Le Bon, Simon, Taylor, or Andy. Also, don't forget Marlene, or even Reflex.

Sid says if Jovie is chosen (which we love)our family will add Blaze of Glory to our list of FHE songs with the kids.
